We're Sunny and Hasmi, two coffee enthusiasts on a mission to discover the world through our morning brew. What started as a casual conversation over a particularly memorable cup of latte has evolved into a shared passion project: documenting our journey through the vast and fascinating universe of coffee beans.

Our Story

Like many coffee lovers, we spent years mindlessly grabbing whatever beans were convenient or recommended by a barista friend. But in 2023, we decided to become more intentional about our daily ritual. We promised each other that we'd never settle for mediocre coffee again.

Every Sunday morning, our kitchen transforms into a tasting laboratory. With notepads in hand and cameras rolling, we explore beans from roasters both local and international, comparing notes and often disagreeing (which makes for interesting viewing!). Hasmi tends to appreciate the technical aspects and subtle notes, while Sunny gravitates toward overall experience and value.

Our Philosophy

We believe that exceptional coffee shouldn't be gatekept behind industry jargon or pretension. Our reviews are straightforward, honest, and designed for everyone from coffee novices to seasoned enthusiasts. We'll never pretend to taste "notes of elderberry and Madagascar vanilla" unless we genuinely do!

We approach each bean with curiosity and respect for the farmers, roasters, and everyone in the supply chain who contributed to bringing these magnificent beans to our cups. While we don't shy away from critical reviews, we always remember the craftsmanship behind each product.
